Do you charge extra for moving furniture when cleaning carpet?

No.  Each job is priced by the square footage.  The rate is based on the amount of square footage, soiling and type of carpet to be cleaned.  Since our system is so non-invasive and we do not saturate the carpet, it is very easy for our crew to move furniture from one side to other for cleaning, with no fear of soggy carpet.

Do you offer carpet repair services?

Yes!  To help you get the most out of your carpet, PureCare offers repair services for rips, holes, tears, snags, and seams.  Holes, rips, tears, and snags can be repaired at a fraction of the cost of a full carpet replacement.  Seams that are separating or breaking, and even ones that weren’t made well from the start, can sometimes be taken apart and remade.  We’re here to help you get the most of your carpet.

Can wrinkling and puckering carpet be fixed, or do I need new carpet?

Years of wear can cause a carpet to pucker and develop wrinkles.  Cleaning is great in these cases, but the only way for your carpet to really look like new is by having it re-stretched and repaired.

Wrinkles in your carpet can be caused by any number of reasons, including heavy traffic, sliding heavy furniture without sliders, improper installation, water damage, over tucking and under stretching.  It is important to have the wrinkles stretched out of your carpet because as the yarn bunches, it will gather more dirt.  If left untreated for too long, the backings will separate, causing the carpet to unravel.

What kinds surfaces do you service?

Our service works great for most carpet and flooring types including nylon carpet tile, printed nylon broadloom, loop pile solution dyed nylon, nylon cut pile, polyester, olefin and olefin berber.  PureCare Carpet is certified safe to clean wool carpet.  It’s also perfect for hard surfaces such as ceramic tile, granite, brick, quarry tile, epoxy painted concrete, slate, limestone, rubber & luxury vinyl tile, glazed tile, stone laminate and more!

Do you provide a carpet inspection service and estimate before I schedule an appointment?

How long does carpet cleaning take?

PureCare understands that whether you’re a business or a homeowner, you don’t have time to rearrange your life just to get your carpet cleaned. Because each job is different, the time of the cleaning varies depending on the amount and type of carpet to be cleaned. However, PureCare’s carpet cleaning system is fast, efficient and leaves your carpets totally dry so they are ready to use whenever you are.

What is dry carpet cleaning?

We use the HOST system for carpet cleaning which uses minimal water. Host Dry Carpet Cleaner deep cleans by dissolving, trapping, and absorbing dirt by using a spongy material, a controlled amount of water, and safe cleaning ingredients.  More details on the HOST method can be found here.

How long does carpet cleaning take to dry?

Because PureCare utilizes the HOST system, we leave your carpets completely dry after the cleaning.  You get clean, dry carpets upon completion so you can get back to your life and family.

Is dry carpet cleaning better than steam carpet cleaning?

The benefits of dry carpet cleaning compared to steam cleaning are numerous.  Dry carpet cleaning reduces drying time and eliminates water damage that can occur to the carpet and flooring underneath.  The HOST system is a soft, organic product that reduces the use of harsh chemicals in the home and is safe for people and pets. Further, the HOST system has been shown to significantly reduce dust mites, dust mite allergens, mold spores, and cat allergens.  Our method works great on a variety of carpets and hard surfaces.  For more information on dry carpet cleaning, please visit the Our System page.

What is the difference between the Host carpet cleaning system used by PureCare and the Chem-dry system?

Chem Dry uses a low-pressure applicator and a bubble solution that is carbonated – just like club soda.  The Chem-dry system uses 95% more water than PureCare’s Host dry carpet cleaning system.  Our Host system is a scrubbing and extraction process.  We do not use water pressure to clean carpet to avoid “wicking”.

The first step in our cleaning process is a dry extraction, “sweep before you scrub” method.  Our machines run on two counter rotating nylon bristled brushed with a high-power suction.  This is a technique called pile lifting.  It’s like taking a hand brush and a shop vac over your entire carpet.

Step two is to apply our cleaner.  Our Cleaner is a bio-based natural product that consists of ground-up sponges that have a mild, alcohol-based detergent that that helps break down stains. As the sponges dry, they adhere to the unwanted stains, debris, dust mites and mold allergens in the carpet.  After allowing the cleaner to dry for about 10-15 minutes, we extract it back out.

By the time we are finished with all four steps, we have gone over your carpet 6 times, leaving your carpet dry, fluffy and clean.

How does dry carpet cleaning save money and conserve water and energy?

By choosing PureCare Dry Carpet Cleaning of Lincoln NE to clean your carpet, you are conserving energy! PureCare reduces your carbon print and saves money.
The two highest energy costs in any home or building are water, heating and air conditioning.  Eliminate hot water extraction carpet cleaning methods and you eliminate those associated energy costs.

PureCare conserves energy by using HOST –  there is no water to heat and you don’t need blowers or air conditioning to dry the carpet. There is no smarter or “greener” way to clean both your carpets and textured hard floors.

What type of carpet cleaning is best for allergies?

PureCare Dry Carpet Cleaning, with a single HOST Dry Extraction Cleaning of the carpet, can reduce cat allergens (dander, hair and saliva) in carpet by 85%, dust mites by 78%, mold and mold spores by 85 % to 94%.

Does carpet cleaning get rid of pet urine/stains/odor?

Yes.  PureCare Dry Cleaning has a 97% success rate with getting pet stains and odor our of carpet.  The HOST Dry Cleaner deep cleans by dissolving and absorbing the urine, stains and odor.  Instead of using pressure and water that can push the urine through the carpet and into the carpet pad underneath, the Host sponges absorb the stain and urine before our machines extract it out of the carpet.  We take the stain with us when we leave.

In extreme cases when the urine has soaked through the carpet and is in the pad underneath, our skilled Technicians pull the carpet back, treat the backing of the carpet, remove the damaged pad, and treat the floor underneath by installing new pad and finally cleaning the carpet on top.

How often should I clean my carpet?

Industry standards recommend every 12-18 months.  When determining a cleaning maintenance plan for both residential and commercial carpet there a few things to consider including level and kind of traffic, pets, grade of carpet, amount of square footage, allergens, and resoiling.

Will cleaning my carpet help the flat and dull high traffic patterns?

Yes! Our machines run on two counter rotating soft nylon bristle brushes.  The technique is called Pile Lifting.  The two counter rotating nylon bristled brushes lift the pile of the yarn loosening the dry dirt and debris from the base of the carpet, allowing the high-power suction of the machine to extract the dry dirt and debris from the base of the carpet fibers.  This allows PureCare Dry Carpet Cleaning of Lincoln Nebraska to get the best cleaning results!

What is carpet stretching and what are the benefits?

Years of wear and tear on carpet and cause it to pucker or develop wrinkles.  If left untreated these wrinkles can lead to deterioration and a shorter life for your carpet.  Stretching the carpet back into shape will improve the look and health of the carpet at a fraction of the cost of replacing it.  Further information on carpet stretching is available here.

How much does carpet stretching cost?

It is always best to schedule a free estimate for stretching carpet. Vent holes, doorways and finishing between carpet and hard surfaces can affect the cost.  Our experience is the cost is usually much less than our customers expect.  And much less than replacing the carpet.

What is the best commercial carpet cleaning solution?

Commercial grade carpet and carpet tile is installed with a trolled water-soluble glue.  When you apply heat and moisture, the adhesive will begin to fail.  Knowing this information, PureCare uses a dry cleaning process that prolongs the life of the carpet, reduces allergens, mold and restores the appearance to new.  Continued maintenance and care is the key to prolonging the life of your flooring investment.

How can cleaning my carpets save my business money?

PureCare is dedicated to helping you extend the life of your carpet.  In addition to our cleaning, installation, stretching and repair services, PureCare offers commercial businesses the option of a personalized carpet Maintenance Plan.  A PureCare Certified Technician will work with you to develop a customized plan specific to your facility’s floor plan and level of foot traffic.  PureCare also offers the HOST Dry Carpet Cleaning Kit for quick and convenient in-home use.  Visit our

I have had my carpets cleaned before with other carpet cleaning services and the stains come back. Will that happen with PureCare?

No.  We take the stains with us when we leave.  When cleaning with water extraction, stains can return a day or two after cleaning.  This problem is called Wicking.  Wicking is caused when a spill, or soil is able to penetrate deep into the carpet.  Then, when the carpet is deep extracted with water, the deeply penetrated soil is not 100 percent removed.  After extracting, the carpet looks clean on the surface but as it dries and is walked on, the residual penetrated soil “wicks” its way to the surface of the carpet fibers, and suddenly appears a day or two after extracting.

The best way to avoid wicking is to use a DRY extracting system.  By using the Host Dry Cleaning System, the stain is transferred from the carpet fibers into our cleaner and goes with us when we leave.  With PureCare that will NOT happen.
